Maybe all that you see, isn’t true. Maybe reality is crooked. Maybe the smile on seeing pretty things is fake, and on the inside, someone is falling into sadness so sweet, that it is engulfing them. Maybe they aren’t looking for the light at the end of the tunnel, because the tunnel has made them sick and tired.
Depression isn’t always evident enough. Sometimes someone you know, maybe constantly undergoing a bad phase but the only reason they might not be reaching out to you could be that they don’t want you to look at them being broken. Sometimes it’s filled up in people who appear absolutely normal. Depression isn’t black and white, and differentiable. It is grey. Unclear. Lingering around the corner. Unnoticeable. But mostly, exhausting and frustrating.
